Inspired by the scallop shell icons widely used on coinage from ancient Taras, this custom-carved pink opal shell is encased in ornate 18k yellow gold. Scallop Shells have long been associated with the birth of the Greek goddess Aphrodite and have been symbols of femininity, fertility, and protection for centuries.
