Anthony Lent has called his Moonface, in particular, the "moonface of the collective unconscious." Although it's an entirely original sculptural model, everyone who sees it thinks they've seen it before. Our Moonface was originally inspired by a half remembered image seen many years ago in a Victorian era children's book. This collection tells a story about the sun, the moon, and the stars. It's a journey through the heavens and through the history of the art and sculpture of Anthony Lent, a story that has evolved over time.
